 This image scared the crap out of me. Well..not the image as I was fine once I was up there. But if you look at this image...

...you will see this is a Water Tower. Standing at 35 meters(115 feet) tall, this tower is accessed via ladders up through the core and then through a skylight onto the roof. With no frames surrounding or harnesses or light this was pretty scary. I nearly turned back near the top...but I pushed myself to keep going. I was given two escorts for this shoot...one stood guard at the bottom and the other is with me in this photo.

I went up there to shoot a 35 image panorama for a client.

With that red hair up there the water tower almost looks like a flaming torch ;) I'm not surprised you felt edgy up there! I'm not a huge fan of heights. What a great view though! Well done for getting the shot!

yay Judi! I recently walked to the top of a lighthouse like 12 hours after having walked for at least 3 hours on the beach and my legs were soooooooo shakey. like jello. but I did it. i almost turned around a few times myself but by the end of it i was cheering on other people with a hard time saying""hey if my fat a** can so it you get your butt up there too". ;) it was fun. and as always great colors in this shot.

Great view - love the heavy color sat. I'd probably straighten the horizon a bit, but it may be an illusion. :-) Nice shot.
