The single tree doesn't stand out enough against the background trees. The bottom of the trunk and the top of the tree are ok, but the middle gets lost in the green behind it. I also would like it better with the tree offset. |

Looks like a gentle old giant protecting the graves, bit of a snapshot but meaningful and I like that.. |

For this challenge, I'm more critical that the foreground (subject) tree is 'swallowed' by the background in the bottom 1/2 of the pic. Therefor it doesnt' stand out. It's actually hard to tell where the branches are and where they end. Unfortunately the scene doesn't pick up some points here. 4 |

This would be better if the tree did not merge with the foliage behind. Mid-day light contributes to the flattness of the image. Centered subjects can work, but I don't see it working here. Different angle of view, different time of day, both could make this worthy subject much better. |
