I like how everything is black and white, making the surroundings seem so sterile and blank in comparison with the little bit of the tree's color. Neat! |

THese were the type of shots I was hoping to see more of and figured would do the best. A single tree out of place. The selective desat works well although the editing is a bit sloppy. Still gave you an 8 for a great find. |

the tree being in the center kills this one for me.. would look at other crop possibilities! |

Interesting image, but the white on the building is too blown out. |

Cool and creative. I was expecting more urban trees and this one is very interesting. Good luck! |

I like the creativity and uniqueness of this, but I think a tighter crop would have made it stronger. 5 |

great find and I like the selective colouring, I just wish the tree wasn't so centered |

well-spotted! i like the desat here as well. off center a bit might have been more pleasing to me but overall, this is one helluva cool shot. |

JUST A THOUGHT--- WHAT IF YOU USE RULE OF THIRDS? INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE TREE IN THE MIDDLE. |

People aren't getting it? Of course I'm guessing at who's image this is based on recent forum activity. Sorry if I'm incorrect. This does say something about the path of humanity (loss of greenspace I take it).
Did you play with off-centering this? Just a thought. Looks like a cool place for lunch! ;^) Good luck in the challenge. |

I like your intention, but the processing hurts the final product for me. The greens are glowing too much, as though you're trying too hard to make them stand out. 5 |

Clever idea. Trees in the city are hard to find - at least as pampered solitary organisms. |

This has a Germaine feel to it. I like the softness and the single saturation of green works. I even like the centering of the subject. Interesting and nice. 7 |

I like that your tree is presented in an interesting context. Well done and unusual for the challenge. It may be a little too soft and i might have brought it just a little closer ... but very well done. |
