Well, thanks for the rude comments but I am a beginner and I don't have a $1,500.00 camera. I am not trying to impress anyone right now as I am trying to learn.

I think your biggest obstacle is going to be what appears to be on-camera flash. It makes really flat, bland, uninteresting lighting. Using existing light or off-camera flash would make the image more appealing. The "interesting-ness" factor of surfaces depends heavily on how they are lit.

Not fond of the lighting, image is dull and not in focus.
