I think a faster shutter would help control the color of the flame a bit more |

so many fired with so little number of entries. Enteresting. This is nice, gives a good flash area of the flame and the blue ring is nice as well. |

Back to comment: A burning match definitely shows a chemical reaction; however, the subject has a very low creativity factor and the glare from the flame is very unappealing to look at. |

If you look at photos of the excatly same thing (for example from Kiwiness if I'm not mistaking) than you can see for your self what's wrong with this.
It lacks sharpness, the flame is overlit and the composition isn't too good. |
