Originally I went out on an "expedition" to see what I could find that was interesting around the pasture for seeds/seed pods, etc... Had the small tripod with me which was too short, so I took this hand-held in low-light cloudy conditions. Thank goodness for KM anti-shake!
I'll probably get smacked for this entry, but don't care as I'm feeling a bit "artsy" at the moment. ;^) You should see the one I did in blue plus added noise! A bit too over the top even in an "artsy" mood. He-he.
These seed heads are from some native 'weed' that grows on the fringe of our horse pasture. Some are up to 6 feet tall. I liked the hairy look although the "hair" is pure white and in processing/boosting contrast a couple spots are blowing out where the "hair" is bunched up. :( Burned a little - still not 100% satisfied but a retake isn't happening. I tried a day later but the rain wiped the seed heads fairly clean off the fluff. Oh well... |
