 Oh, boy - this was a disaster. But how in the world did this picture end up with seven 9s, and some 7s and 8s also???? Weird voting :)

BTW, in case anyone is wondering, I love my husband very much (the title was his idea :). The irony was supposed to be that if you give someone everything but the rose, there's nothing there in this picture, just negative space. Also, second possible irony (not really an irony, but ...) roses are so soft, but they have thorns!

Oh well ....

i like the technique and idea, but applied on a poor subject i suppose. Cant really make out what the photo is trying to "say". 5

Lovely. I like the hints in it of a rose, yet the lack there of. The black and white contrast is great!
