My good sport wife once again.

I was out of town until right before deadline so we set this one up. Didn't really have time to take advantage of the extra rules. Not expecting this one to do all that well, but I thought it was cute.

That is me holding the note pad. I tool the shot with the remote cable in the left hand. Lit with 2 Canon speedlights, one bounced off the ceiling, the other aimed at the note pad (held by my 6 year old son)

I have three Far Side books. This is one of the cartoons in one of the books.

One of my favorites because it made me laugh the most. The hand and facial expression are simply priceless. Take another bump.

Okay, this bothers me. How is the pad staying up wihtout his other hand? Otherwise, a great shot (I hope that's not part of the joke and I'm just too dense to get it)

I have to vote this a 10. I have this T-shirt it's 20+ years old but I still wear it and it is my favorite Far Side.

is the notepad flying through the air or sticked to the writing hand?

This is clever. ;^) I do wish that the left hand was there holding the notepad. Nice use of aperture selection for the slight defocusing of the "patient".

Great composition, DOF, but I really enjoyed your accuracy to the strip as well as your model's ability to actually look a bit cooky in the picture.

The hand looks a bit like it is floating and I would have liked to see a bit more of the figure to the right, but otherwise I really like the shot.
