My models and the light were singularly uncooperative. My "pusher" was feeling nauseous. My two other horses aren't shown because they're clustered around ME on a ladder in the pen.

Removing previous comment. To my mind "emulate" doesn't mean to reproduce an existing work but to create a wholly new one in the style of the artist in question.

I have a feeling you just copied a Far Side, but since I can't find it I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you're a comic genius. Even if you did copy, this is a perfect execution. Eye contact between woman and horse is very strong. 10

idea is good, but might be much better, if both horses were looking in the same direction. contrast is much too high, too
