 I went through so many ideas and this ended up being the simplest. This is a party stir-stick for tropical drinks I assume - or photos :) The neck has a twist-tie to look like a bandana ... I used mylar type material from my work on top of a box in which I could poke holes. The background is also an image I shot and I had to position the horizon eactly where the water was - viewing on a 20inch imac. I had to adjust this afterward but it went pretty well- heck, I just took the pick 1.5 hrs ago. I added a 2nd leg which I figured was ok since I was basically just using parts og the orignal leg - also added the back feathers by copy/pasting and enlargin onto the back. This was a bunch of fun all around - the evolution of this idea was worth it in itself. The original has several "PUNK flamingos" in it and I hope people think this represents Gary's work because his humor was not always completely ironic- this one is just a clever play on words I think.

Great job of creating something with more "artwork" feel, and silhouettes do disproportionately well at dpc. ;-)

I was hoping that if someone remade this strip they would actually try and go out to dress up flamingos. Then again the PETA voters woulda knocked it so you probably made the right choice.
