Fun challenge. Used a white backdrop at first but the flames didn't show up so had to put the fire out and use my black backdrop.

Used the burn tool, desaturated the stool, used the smudge tool to create a larger flame. Cloned flame from one area to another. Added more smoke with the paint tool and smudged that too...resized and sharpened.

Congratulations on your top ten finish with this jumping from the frying pan and into the fire supposition. Very well rendered.

Ahh, I love this cartoon. You did an excellent job of recreating it. I was wondering how to pull this one off.....you did it justice!

Nice fire, btw.

Oh no, poor fish!!
I like the way that they are hanging off the table a bit - gives it a more lively feeling.

The best in the challenge. A good photograph with great Larson humor. Did you use liquify on the flames and smoke? total package that will hopefully win. Good luck! 10

Good job. I find I con't really comment in a negative way in these. All I can say is that you've recreated a classic.
