 First entry with the D80 and Tamron lens and first time using RAW as well. Used Capture NX (trial version :-) to handle some colour issues before handling the crop, sharpening and size for web in CS2 - and no Noise Ninja in sight! Aside from Capture NX nothing else handles D80 NEF at the moment :-(

Mood is one of Autumnal calm before the fall, so to speak. I am trying to invoke a feeling of change with the seeds getting ready to start the cycle of life for the next generation.

Greetings from the critique club

I agree with the last commentor that moving closer to the seeds would have been better.

A quick glance shows only a busy composition with lots of leaves, which is what most voters would see.

There is some nice color in the seeds. I would have tried to get closer to them. I hope you like the D80 as much as I do! I found this picture by checking what other photos have been submitted with it. I have found that I need to be more careful about camera movement to avoid bluring since it shows more details. I got the 18- 135mm kit lens with mine.

The focus on the seeds seems a bit off. They also look a bit lost in all that distracting greenery.
