You've been staying up in the 5's quite nicely! This is a wonderful picture. Lovely colors. And that peek a boo seed is so cute. I didn't vote in this challenge, but this would have gotten a 7 or 8 from me.

I like how the seed is hinted at - peeking out. Nice job of a solid, supporting background, as well, and the DOF is good to get both halves of the apple focused. I think I'd have preferred to see the face of the apple at just a bit more of an angle, though, rather than dead on towards the camera - it would add a bit more texture that way.

Pity the seed is not more prominent. Otherwise the apple is nice and fresh and the isolation pretty good.
