"Critique Club"
This one is very hard to know what to say about it. It has its good as well as bad points. Your focus is really good and the detail is fantastic as you can see the textures.
Problems with the photo are simple, its over exposed, more so on the top center, that bright spot is just very distracting there.
As for meeting the challenge I understand where you were coming from with this photo but at the same time it is very weak and doesn't really represent flight in this photo. Remember not everyone will think outside of the actually discription of the challenge.
Nice effort would love to see this redone with some spot editing done to it to correct the overexposure area. |

Nice use of thirds. Looks a little bright - maybe a little too much contrasting? I'm not sure if this meets the challenge. |

Light seems a bit harsh...neat angle though. |

I like the shot, but cannot grade high for lack of 'Flight' |

oohhh very artistic creative and superbly interesting, perfect creative licence for the challenge, not sure if proper exposure would benefit it or not, as it stands I love it, simplicity yet immensely captivating, draws me in and makes me want to really see every aspect of the intrigueing creature, lovely photo indeed |

I wanted to really, really love this shot. The forewings and front of the head are very nice. The white back seems overexposed to me and the shadows in that area add to the confusion. I'm liking the blue area at the top...may I ask how you did that? (just curious) 7 Rob the Swash |

Only my opinion, but I'd like to have seen this a little darker. Great shot though.

Well it really isn't actually in flight is it! I think you will get marked down for that in this challenge. Otherwise a good photo. I like the gradient of the background. |

Excellant background for this image. Clarity and flat angled view of the subject well done. |

I like how unusual this looks - to see the face of a moth, usually you see the wings. I like the gradient in the background. I wonder how it would look a bit darker? The brightness matched the "soft landing" title, but it feel just too bright. |

Nice photo. I think the lighting is a bit harsh making the top of the moth appear fried..I will say the composition is very good...the shot is interesting to look at. |

I like the image, but I find the white to be too harsh considering the delicacy of the subject. It also is rather distracting in the image to me - perhaps a different color background could've made the image still pop. |
