First Impressions: Well done...

Composition: Good composition. Well positioned with no real elements to distract.
Subject: Subject is well placed. However, the subject's eyes are not focused as well as they could be IMHO. They expose too much of the whites. Perhaps having the model look at a slightly different angle to reveal her iris' more.
Technical (Colour, focus, and light): Nice tones in processing. Good focus and well lit. The tone of this foto gives a nice metallic "retro-modern" feel which goes well with the theme. Of note, a secondary light to reduce the shadow on the shoulder and to fill in the left eye a bit would be beneficial.
Creativity: A fun photo with a nice creative touch in processing.

To improve?: An additional lightsource. That said, the ring from an artistic standpoint is a bit distracting. The color tone doesn't quite fit.
Summary: Well done, fun, and nicely exposed.

| Has a certain quality of 1950's advertising photography - perhaps simple the idea that a hairdryer might be such a sought-after item, but I'd like to think its actually the tonality and composition. That's no small compliment for a technical exercise - there were some great photographers working in advertising in the 1950s. |

| This is a fun image and shows good use of electricity and it's impact on society (how else can she dry her hair?). Composition works well, and the image is well focused and sharp. My only complaint is the color tone - looks kind of purplish. Good luck in the challenge. |

| light is very harsh, exposure should have been shorter, crop at right too tight IMO. Still nice concept and color |

| wonderful...great as a duotone...perhaps the pose looks a little strained and awkward especially on the forehead, but otherwise great 8 |
