Why did you crop the bird dead center? 7

Meets the challenge in capturing flight but the bird almost gets lost in the background

Nice timing! But the focus on the bird is not good enough...

The beautiful blue hues in the water really up make the subject pop out of the picture. The shadows and reflections in the water are absolutely beautiful. I like the high contrast of the bird. It makes the bird very graphic and dynamic. The direction and angle of the water helps give a sense of motion to the bird.

Nice color, but the seagull doesn't seem super sharp (or is it just a bit too far away and not very detailed). In between silhouetted and not. Is it me, or is the ocean slanted? 7 Rob the Swash

Focus is a little soft and the composition could be improved by off-centering the bird (to the right) to give more feeling of space, and the imminent arrival of the bird.

I really like the content and the coloring and the photo discribes flight to me.

Your main subject is too centered, I really would have prefered to seen you using the rule of thirds here. It would have enhanced your image so much.

Composition seems very unimaginative. Try rule of thirds. More compositional interest needed. 5

I like the light on the water, the dark shap of the bird. Wish the subject weren't dead center - perhaps with the bird more to the right and up we would feel the bird in flying into the space in front of it.

Lovely color of blue here. I guess the lack of focus is the only down fall to this photo.

I like the silhoutte of the bird on the water. I personally don't like the fact that your subject is centered, I would try something a little of center.
