Interesting form but still I cant get very excited over this one. Think the Dof maybe a litle to shallow and the I´m not sure I like the background color.

Could be a little more in focus, purple's seem to be blown out. Overall a nice shot.

Not sure what this is, which is cool considering that the challenge is 'Abstract Macro'. Guessing the tip of a flower? I like the color of the object. Feels like it's getting lost in the composition with the drab background. Did you try messing with setting the B/W points on this to get the background a truer white. Would have made the purple jump out a little more. The object is slightly off-center, which is fine, but go even farther. This could be a strong candidate for a diagonal layout with the tip ('Pinacle') coming into the frame on an angle. Just a thought. Good luck in the challenge.
