 i guess this is what i should have submitted. although the original larson cartoon has no other text from 'look out, it's a red hot poker', i should have thought that some people might not have been as completely addicted to larson as i was.

the scene was: two typcial larson people answer the door, and standing there is a man, wreathed in flames, poking out his right hand. thus the title - look out, it's a red hot poker.

i still haven't found the real larson cartoon of this. when i do, i'll post it.

Oh yes, I remember when I came across your entry it did not seem as "larsonesque" as some of the other entries. This would definitely have helped me understand more.

In any case, this is a great image and it doesn't scream "fake" at me, which I think shows that you did an incredible job.
