Yes, the battery was on the charger. Like many new D200 owners I'm stuck with jsut the battery that came with the camera, since Nikon can't keep up demand. I imagine the situation won't get any better any time soon with the new D80 using the same battery.

I don't see a -E- or frame count on the top LCD.
Do you take the battery out of your camera when
it's not in use?
