 My father made this butterfly back in the 70s, and it embarrasses him for some reason that I've saved it all these years. I hung it from the eave on my deck and let it fly a little in the blue sky.

i think for this shot, maybe
take the photo thru the butterfly - sun behind it
use the pewter to frame the photo
some adjustments to the background to dull it
would be a bit more intriguing

Interesting concept, and a nice rendition of the stained glass.

The beautiful colors in the stainglass really helps to set it away from the blue hue of the sky, but the trees distract from the overall composition. Even if it was blurred even more the darkness of the trees would overwhelm the main subject.

Otherwise I like the shadows and reflections on the butterfly gives the frame a great metallic feeling.

Sharp, colorful picture! Hiding the strings might have given this a bit more into the flavor of this challenge (which I partly interpretted as getting motion, too, this has none). Good framing, though a bit too far off the right 1/3 mark. 7 Rob the Swash

Nice blue and creative idea. I don't think the composition added to this shot. The trees are more of a distraction to my eye.

I found this image rather striking. The butterfly definitely draws the attention and is nice and clear. It almost looks like its sitting on the image rather than in it, its so sharp. I like it!
