Sing us a song, you\'re the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we\'re all in the mood for a melody
And you\'ve got us feelin\' alright

Appealing abstract composition... tempo of the gray tone & white shape surely meets the specs. of your title.... a welcomed & pleasant minimal contribution to the challenge, 7.

I only visit DPC about once a month these days and it's because of results like this. I love this image for what it is. It's clear you weren't going for technical perfection, critical sharpens or a "wow factor" but this image works. The DPC masses just don't get it. Great job, great image.

Nope. No idea what this is. Maybe a part of a piano?

Anyway, I really like this. Reminds me a little of my own entry in the original Abstract Macro challenge. A really nice image to look at, but unfortunately the kind of image that gets eaten alive by DPC voters (may God have mercy on their souls).

a wonderfully creative take on the challenge..
this sort of thing doesn't have a hope in a challenge, but I think it is worth entering shots like this sometimes, because it lets you interpret and explore for you...
and hey, some people are going to dig it..

Object is well out of focus. End product seems to be blurred image.

Hmm. Interesting minimalise. Hard to tell if it qualifies as a macro. Congrats on not doing the obvious! You are probably getting hammered on it though.

excellent. you made this as simple as it could possibly be to still retain interest, and your bravura is being punished by dpc voters, I'm sure. but you get a 9 from me. this is what harps are like in heaven.

well, it's abstract but the softness makes it look like shadows on a wall instead of a macro shot

I would have given it a 10 but for that bright spot in the upper left.

I like what this does to the eye with the interesting composition.

When you go abstract, you really go abstract. Sorry, but there isn't enough in focus to figure out what it's part of, IF it's even part of something.

Don't like this one so much. I think it should have been more in focus to meet the challenge, or at least that's how I picture macro photos. It does have interesting depth, and I do wonder what it is though..

I like the photo but I find the bright line in the top left corner take too much attention.

Interesting shot. Love your composition and the soft whites. Well done!
