I was in a small shop in San Antonio, Texas and was racking my brain for a "Flight" entry. This flying lady was one of many flying items in the store. I shop hand held and no flash. I like to diagonal or the wings and the colors.

Nice use of thirds. Nice DOF. I like the colourisation, nice editing. I'm not sure if this meets the challenge.

Interesting, colorful shot, but the background is very distracting. The out-of-focus quality of the other dolls helps the flying doll stand out, but there is still a confusion of colors.

Great concept but the background is too distracting, even with the shallow depth of field.

Very nice shot, good detail and color. Too bad the strings (and eyehooks) show up so strongly. The background looks like fun, but seems to pull the eye away from the subject. Framing has the subject well placed. 7 Rob the Swash

Yup, I guess this is also "In flight", an original idea, good one.

Good depth of field really helps to make the subject pop out. Even with the same type of colors in the background you were able to birng out the subject. I like the vibrant colors in the subject. Very whimsical.

Background a bit busy, but colors are nice.

This is okay. The background is very busy. The crop or framing is a negative for me. The back of her is cut off along with the foreground wing. Still I see what you were trying to convey.

Meets the challenge in a unique way. Decent color. Nice soft background. I would have cropped out the yellow forground object on the left side of the frame.
