it's too bad you couldn't have gotten a receiver in this shot as well.. |

A great moment in sports, but so far out of focus. How does the football, which is so close to the people in the stands, come out so sharp??? |

Nice timing! There is too much noise/jpeg artifacts visible in the faces of the audience though.. |

Pretty good focus on the football. Good shutter control . You were able to get the shot near the concrete where the football and the depth of field helps launch it forward. Love that you blurred the crowd yet you can still make out their expressions. Beautiful shot. |

Very cool. Love it that the laces are perfectly level, that was pretty lucky. Nice capture. [revised addition]... I'm making a bet that you are "alansfreed" after seeing your great Steelers sports shots in the forum. :) Am I right? |

The whole thing is slightly on the skew and that spoils it for me. Nearly an interesting picture. |

I really like ths one - I like how all eyes are on the ball even though the crowd is blurred to create one mass of "crowd" I like the slight tilt which makes everyone lean right with the ball - it is going towards the right, isn't it? I like the regular splotches of color. hat-hat-hat...hand-haand-hand...yellow tag-tag-tag...face-face-face. I like the patterns they make. Although that ball is stationary, the patterns help to move it along. 8 |

Original idea. This was my favourite game for years. At school we had to play it. This isn't South Africa is it? Good composition you chose. |

This shot just doesn't have a lot going for it IMHO. The ball isn't realy in that sharp of a focus. The crowd is just sitting there. There is no action with players. Nothing to keep my attention. Now if the crowd was going wild.... Best I can do (and I DO like the concept but it's a tough one to pull off well) is a 5.

Nice shot - shame you couldn't have caught a catcher/thrower in there - 7 |

very interesting shot, i think it would be improved if you leveled the background, even though you probably shot on the level with your camera. still one of the top picks. |
