Aaaaah, darn! HOW long time have I used and thought it be a good idea, then I re-read challenge and now I envision a zillion DNMC's ... so why do I submit? The everlasting optimist ... I guess.

Original idea:

But I thought the idea was good, had so good fun playing, and now my keyboard is all messed up! But it is splendid training for typing ...

OK,OK, updated keyboard idea, got closer, one cannot see at once it is a keyboard, I think? 4 keys instead of 12, "DNMC" ...

And for DNMC comments - now it is already written in the photo itself, as an extra service!

Will try to leave keyboard messed up - it is very good for learning to NOT look at keys!

After I did the above, I tried the following, but stuck to DNMC anyway:

------------------------------

Still have my keyboard out of order, and it really works - highly recommended if you wish to learn to type without looking at keyboard ..

Thank you all for the comments given, wonder how many did NOT notice the keys were re-arranged ...

From now on, anyone is hereby allowed to freely thumb to 400602 - as suggested below - for use in challenges ...

Heh. I read Tom Robbrecht's comment to mean "nope, it's not DNMC." :)

Anyway, to me it meets it perfectly. And I liked your other ideas, too!

Hi Tom,

You were the only one to directly express this, and that held against the other comments submitted during the challenge, is good enough to me!

But at least I saved you from writing it yourself, as you did notice it ...

Sharp image, very well done. Lighting and texture are perfect. Creative and original! 1 pt more for the trouble of removing the keys.... :-) and meets the challenge too! :-)

needs more contrast. using levels, select the black point in one of the crevices, and select white point on one of the letters, then adjust the red RDB channel until the color is les red. other than that, I don't find this to be especially abstract, maybe halfway there. Nice sharp macro though.

LOL! I love the message and title of the shot. My only complait is the exposure. I know black keys are difficult to shoot, though I would perfer this shot a little less exposed.
