 Been in a bad mood all day today. Couldn't think of any ideas and then this popped into my head. I was a bit inspired by some of Joey's lightbulb work but just could not get the 'glow' to look right, especially over the black background. So, I cheated and used the Lens Flare filter (with adjustments to the bulb)!! Pffft ;)

Well, it seems that good ideas get to you all the time, even if you are struggling. The flare is great.

Just because of this pic I've opened up my bulb pics but alas no luck..Cannot get the darn gloww. grr..

Heh - the light bulb idea popped into your head... isn't that like the cartoons when the light bulb comes on over their head to indicate they have an idea? :-) And I can never get that lightbulb trick to work the way Joey does it either. I think he's got secret weapon tools he hasn't revealed. Your way works just fine - I like the halo it gives off.

It ain't cheating if it comes out fine. We're not judging based on basic rules here. It's all about the fun and the ideas. And this is good and you got the lighting just right.

This looks really nice. I've thought about something similar, but using a flashlight hidden away and lighting up the bulb.

I don't think you're capable of posting a bad photo. :)

oe I like this one!! cheating? when the result is like this, it doesn't matter, right!?

good idea to use a black background and to wear a black blouse.
