 This is a photo taken just outside of my home. There is a little pond in a park down the street and this was one of the pictures that I took. A friend of mine liked it and suggested I post this one. There has been no editing to this picture.

Thanks for all of your posts. You are all right it needs a lot of work. I was trying for some thing different but it didn't work. Just so you all know the big rock looking this is a drain pipe.

That big grey rock on the left is distracting. Focus on the ripples.

Lets consider the things that have been framed here. The ripple, the grass and that big out-of-focus thing(I have no idea what it is) that is taking up 1/3 of the frame. What is it that you wanted the voters to see? The ripple. When composing, keep in mind that you want to limit the things in the frame to only what you want the viewer to see. Your score will be sure to improve.

Hmmm, focus needs some work here and i find that if there were no title to the shot, the viewer wouldn't know what to look at. The ripple doesn't really catch my eye and the rock is distracting. good luck

It's a bit blurry, composition and interest are not the best. Sorry, this is not a winner.

Nice image! Feels like it could be a bit sharper throughout though. You might have even excluded the foreground and most of the grass and focused just on the ripple and a few blades of grass. Just a thought, but I like where you were going with this! 8o)

The rain ripple is nice but the rock(?) at the left overpowers it
