| IMO this shot could be improved by cropping out much of the stem (although it is a cool looking stem) and perhaps the flower could be turned only slightly more toward the camera. The bokeh is attractive but a little bit busy - if the sharp purple flower covered a bit more of the surface area in the pic, perhaps the background would be less distracting. My vote was 5. |

| There are an awful lot of flower shots in this challenge, and unfortunately this one is a little unremarkable. The seperation from the background isn't quite good enough, and the light is non-ideal - I'd prefer to see the flower less dark. |

| Nice shot of the flower, but too much out of focus background, especially the bright orange leaf and violet spot. Would benefit from a tighter crop. |

| I'd like this better if the 'subject' flower faced more towards the camera. As is, it sort of blends into the background. |

| The lighting is a bit harsh. The bright stem makes it hard to see the purple flower well. |
