After seeing everyone else's composites, I had to do one.

I have lots of things I like to do on weekends, so I thought this would be a good idea. And today was cloudy, so nice, even light. Until I took the first shot of the softball player, and then the sun popped out from behind a cloud right as I took the frisbee player!

So I retook the softballer and ended up doing a fair amount of choosing which pieces of the car and which pieces of the ground to leave with which shot, so the shadows worked.

Thirty minutes to shoot (had to leave to take my kids rockclimbing, so I was tearing in and out of the house changing clothes!). Three hours to edit.

Lots and lots of pixel-level layer mask editing, too.

But wow, what fun! And I think it came out pretty well. :)

Here's another one I did about 18 months later:

w00t! I have a Mazda 5 too! It's black with black-tinted windows. I love the sliding doors for the kids. I thought I'd hate the automatic windshield wipers, but they're awesome, especailly for variable rain.
:-)

Nice work on the photo!

I think you did well. I can't quite figure out how to do that yet although I've read tutorials and heard how. Maybe I'll get adventurous, but I better hurry. Not much time left to try it.
