1943, haha! I guess you mean the price of gas is going up so fast you can see the digits moving, and that this is US cents pr gallon?

This aircraft is from the 80s, but still flying. Modern aircraft are all CRT or LCD screens, this is the "real thing". Nothing against glass, but I enjoy the hands-on aspect for now.

The top gauge is showing the distance to a navigation aid, as DME is short for Distance Measuring Equipment.
