i have to say that i disagree with your analysis of the photo. altho i can understand finding it uninteresting (personal preference is fine by me), i think the composition is just what it should be. the shallow DOF and narrow band of focus keep the eye from following the leading lines of the fence out of the frame. besides, this photo is about the drops on the fence. nothing else. the fact that the viewer must focus on one little aspect of the shot is meant to hold interest in the micro scale of the photo.

Technichally the composition looks fair but I find the picture uninteresting. Also I would've used a greater DOP to get everything in focus - I don't particularly like the fact that only the middle band of the picture is in focus.

Good choice of making it B&W :) Really brings out textures of the raindrops and water.

This is very cool! I like the use of the Negative space at the bottom The shot has a rustic feel and the bit of grain is perfect. I hope this ribbons!

Black and White, excellent choice. Great leading line. Nice lighting. Good contrast. This should do well i think. Good luck
