Powerful hi contrast image which accentuates the bleakness of a rainy day. Nice work |

Very nice...I like the high contrast. The figures really stand out against the blown out puddle reflections. I like the generous vertical frame. This gives a definite sense of place and mood. I could wish for a bit more detail in the foreground shadow area, at least in the building but in order to keep the figures dark you would have to dodge/burn and that is advanced editing. So no real complaints from me. |

A bit too much to look at, IMO. I think that the 2 women with the umbrella should be the focus, so maybe a tighter shot of them. I like the black/white. |

Could use to be straightened and too much forground detail is lost in shadow. |

This has a classic feel to it. Very nice B/W image captured here. Well done. |

6: Great composition. Just a few too many areas in darkness for my liking :( |

France? I like the silouethed feeling of the photograph. And how that big tent stands next to the umbrella the woman is holding. I think b&w is a good choice. |

two people sandwiched by darkness, who are themselves darkness. eaves and umbrellas and windshields reflect the light of what is possible, but not happening. Notice a large triangle of lighter tones, bisected by the horizon. Just below the horizon, i.e., completely of this world of wet, appear our shadowy protagonists and their shadowy reflections. It is as if the rain itself created them. And there... I think I see God in a milk truck... 8 |

great moody shot. shame about basic editing, as lightening the shelter that is obscuring the outline of the woman on the left will really help bring them out as the subject. |

Makes me think of a Paris street scene. You may get hits for the dark, but I like it. 8 |
