 Seeing this photo (which doesn't look like anything I had intended to shoot) inspired me to write the poem.

This isn't a shot of a mirror that's been flipped - I took the shot holding the camera in front of me while I stood in front of the mirror. When writing the poem, I imagined this was what I would see if I were the mirror, watching someone with too-dark lipstick and playing-at-being-a-model poses.

I LOVE the poem - so true, isn't it? We always want to be more than we are, but eventually accept, wipe the smudges and move on. Excellent work once again, my dear!
