 Shot early in the morning on Sept. 27 (some 3 hours after the challenge was announced without even knowing about it) en route from Milan to London, i.e. somewhere near the Italian-Swiss border, probably in Switzerland. I wish I knew what the name of this mountain was. The sun just came out, and visibility through the airplane window was excellent.

The photo came out very blue (to be expected because of the high UV level), but could be easily corrected in RAW conversion and subsequent level and hue/saturation adjustments. Also applied small noise reducton, sharpening and cropping.

Cool shot. The harsh shadows make for high contrast. Even still, there's something about this picture that seems a little flat. Maybe because I'm used to mountains. =)
