 Mt St.Helens 2006
First time I've been up here since before 1980. Wow....total destruction, still no tress or brushes have grown back around the mountain. The mountain lost 1300ft and blow the whole side out. I was up in the high cascade lakes in Oregon above Bend when it blow. I heard it but we didn't realize what happened until Monday on the way home.

This is Mt St Helens, right? I had a look at in in 1986 - very windy on the lookout spot.

Impressive landscape, with nice deep shadows to show off the canyons. The actual crest of the volcano looks a bit out of focus - perhaps because of the big distance between you and the mountain - which is a pity.

a nice image, though it seems as if nothing is critically sharp. Im not sure why that is though...

I like the starkness of this landscape. I think that the depression in the middle of the photo is too dark to see many details. Maybe a different time of day would cast a better light.

a desolate scene...quite interesting...the cyans in the sky are fairly overpowering though...a little selective color adjustments and you could really enhance the colors here

I like this landscape, it's a good, wide photo with lots of texture to the land, and even the moon makes an appearance.

This is so ruggedly beautiful! Wonderful contrast, and the moon adds a great little touch of drama. I love this one.
