Thanks Judi. This was taken at Gnaraloo Station, about 160 odd km north of Carnarvon. Very popular spot for fishing, surfing and windsurfing.

Really lovely. If I were to change anything, I might crop out a portion of the foreground so that it makes the sky even a larger majority of the shot. Beautiful colors.

well havent you got a marvellous subject in the gnaraloo fuel shed!! .. another fantastic image ... and it seems like the earth there is a much more photographically acceptable shade than where i live ... but of course if you have access to the wonderful tools in photoshop then who knows? ... and a beautiful understated rainbow ...
hadnt read the previous comments before i wrote this ...
so you've already been complimented on this photo ... oh well, it never hurts to receive more and more compliments!! i personally love them ...

I'll give the processing another go.

Germaine, the dark patch is due to my hasty PS work. I was going for the vignette thing but didn't work out all that well. I'll have a bit more of a play with it over the next few days and see what I can come up with.;)

Hmmm. I think this one is worth working on. Were you using a polarizing filter? There's some sort of a dark patch on the left that could be dodged a little so it isn't so obvious. I really go for the red soil, the clouds, and the dark sky with the light reflecting off of the barn... and of course, the rainbow. The b&w is super, too. I'd hate to have to say one is better than the other. 8)
