I never saw this entry in the challenge. Having a special needs nephew this picture is very emotive for me. I do feel the top two thirds of picture is much better than the lowest half inch or so, perhaps crop just below horses muzzle? I do LOVE this picture and can see where it's a "you" entry and not a DPC 'eye candy' entry and we KNOW I enter lots of those as well. Keep on marching to beat of your own drummer :-) I like your beat ! good job on capture. |

A lovely moment captured. I voted this 6. 4.6 seems a tad harsh to me but probably scored low because this was a Free Study so it was up against the most amazingly dazzling captures. This shot is nice and has good focus and (if these are friends of yours) one I'm sure you and they will cherish. |

Shame about some of your comments and score but great that others have seen what you were aiming for/capturing here :o) |

I liked the colour and exposure in this, thought it was pretty much spot on. Bummer score though, for a sweet candid. |

This has a snapshot feel. A better composition would be to only have the small child and the woman on the horse in the photo, maybe at a different angle. |

I suspect this young lady is having the time of her life. |

Very touching photo, you've captured the warm heart of these people perfectly, and the backlighting of the trees is a really nice touch. I hope the voters look past the literalness of the photo and see the true essence of what you captured here, as to the little girl here this is much more than a just pony ride. Nice job!
Back in high school, I volunteered for a year at a place like this called Ahead With Horses, which has incredible programs for special-needs children (and some challenged adults). William Shatner (amongst many others) is a huge supporter of this place. -My apologies if this isn't the same type of facility. |

doesn't seem like much more than a snapshot |

love the expression on the boy, and nice piled-up composition of figures. 7 |

This is a friendly looking capture. Tidying up the composition would, I expect, improve the score some. |
