 This is a statue (kind of inca guy holding a candle...) from my living room window. Put a velvet cloth on a chair and the state in front. Lighting is from a flashlight held above the subject. Did contrast, lightness, saturation and unsharp mask. My pick from 5 finalist shots.

What could help this photo is a closer zoom to the subject and different cropping. There is way to much black negative space for this to be effective photo. The colours are really nice and it's pretty sharp.

Good composition. The low key image with lots of negative space successfully conveys a feeling of foreboding and fear.

Negative space works well here to imply further mystery and space; the demon guy is a bit dark for my tastes, though even though it is supposed to be. Perhaps some of the darkness can be implied and suggested rather than actually demonstrated? Well, nice work and composition.

Darkness is right, took a few times viewing it to even get an idea of what you might be going for. A bit more light to clarify would have helped it for me.
