A Woody purchased at Ikea. My girlfriend actually uses it to display her jewellery.

1) Cropped
2) A quick sharpen
3) Filter B+W (red used as filter)

This is my first challenge submission

Thank you all for your reply. I really appreciate the honest feedback that I received for this entry. In retrospect, I should have submitted my Ducky picture but this entry helped me learn so much about this community. Other sites pretty much just say "Nice" and "Good shot" etc without any detailed comments. I also appreciate that the ratings are hard to come by. (I.e. If you get a 10 it is quite significant).

Thanks again to all who took the time to vote and comment.

Blurry at the bottom. I think for a subject such as this, color may have been better.

Whatever you have behind him is very distracting. The dark/light range is very small as well.

I like the unique perspective. I think that a darker background would make Woody stand out. While I don't mind not seeing his feet, his missing hand makes me wonder why it's off frame.

Could use some softer light and a little more in focus. I'm sure woody would also appreciate having his hand and feet bach that have been chopped off. Is that a bathrobe as a background?

I don't really get the sense of reach as the title states. Photo is washed out and out of focus. Perhaps a darker backdrop would have helped a bit or a little less direct light on the woody - or both. Hope this is helpful!

Decent image. But the shin/light burn really drawls an eye. It makes the image blend into the background. A little more contrast would be nice to see here.

the pole holding up the Woody is what gets my eye's attention. The OOF leg distracts my eye. I like the b&w white conversion.

Could use a touch more contrast and maybe a little sharper.

They bend in the most interesting ways! A little on the stark, bright side and the background is a touch distracting, but I like the angle.

I like the black and white. The shadow is off putting, shooting from a different angle might help. The image doesn't really tell much of a story or provoke much interest.

Interetsing angle. I think your lighting and exposure needs work, it looks washed out.
