I like this version much better (though, I liked the first one too!) The dark circle is gone, there is a smoother blending into the swirl, eliminating what came across to me as hot spots of white, and the swirl itself is smoother. A great reshoot. I notice the original says that it too was a reshoot of a shot you did when you started photography. It would be interesting to look at that one too in this series! |

I liked the first one but now that I see the reshoot I love the reshoot. It is sharper on the edges, flows elegantly, is cleaner and it doesn't have the dark area that I now find distracting. Great job on the reshoot. I have been meaning to that myself on a number of my photos. |

Definitely has cleaner lines than the original and that aspect of it is really letting me enjoy the simple curves being shown. The other one was great (as your placing helps show) but I do like this interpretation just a little bit better. |
