I really really like this! It pains me to say though that it's a bit soft. Really fantastic idea though. You might even consider moving your subject to the stool just left where he'd be in the light. Such a nice ecclectic feel though! Very unique! 8o)

Cantrast is way off the mark. No true shadows. Just needs that extra zap the contrast would bring

Good idea, but needs more contrast.

soft focus and desat helps create an interesting mood. All these lines are a nice find. I'm left wondering if there was another angle that made this rather mundane scene incredibly image worthy

I like what i see as the intent of this - reminiscent of those American deep south documentary photographers - but the execution is poor here: contrast, resolution, processing, all are kind of messy and uncontrolled I think. That said, you evidently have an eye - the horizontal lines of his shirt, the vertical lines of the bar, the distorted lines reflected in the stools' seats and the diagonal lines of the padding behind the counter make for an interesting composition. I just really wish you'd had a better quality image. 7 for the eye, and the other three off for the quality issues.

I like the sepia and the many different lines in this image.

Should this be in focus, it might be a very good focus. Unfortunately it's very blurry...

Fit Challenge Criteria: 1/2 - You are definitely not showing a face here, but I really don't feel the "the essence" of this person is revealed through this photograph
Contrast/Color: 0/2 - The photo has an overall muddy appearance to it. The whites are not very bright and the detail is lacking throughout the tonal range
Composition: 1/2 - I like the angle but I think the partial inclusion of the third stool on the right should have been cropped out.
Photo Quality: 0/2 - The photo is not very sharp or clear
My Subjective Affinity: 0/2

interesting play with lines i must admit, but the photo is overall soft

Good ol' 1950s. The time of cool cars, pinups, and diners.
