First off I like the image. I like the objects in the background are a bit out of focus. I do like your processing to an extent. Good in B&W and even like the grainâ€Â¦even though it was added. A few things I wish were differentâ€Â¦don’t like how the hand and head are soft, out of focus. The jacket is the only thing that is sharp. I would like to see a bit more of the waterâ€Â¦but I guess that’s not necessary. I wanted to see that this guy was really sailing on a boatâ€Â¦maybe a shot with the mass, but don’t know if that would have been too cluttered. Ultimately I don’t know if this was posed or you went to take a photo and he did that. If it was the later then I like it as isâ€Â¦spontaneous and candid. If not there might have been a more compelling angle to get more of the boat or waterâ€Â¦or both. Like I said I do like the shotâ€Â¦different for DPCâ€Â¦which is very good.

143 - if it were up to me you'd have a ribbon to hang by this. At least you didn't get as may antigrain comments as I worried you might.
Love this shot and the PP, nice work. |

i really like this shot. very quirky. The lines are facinating, how the boat leans one way and the horizon leans another, and his jacket pockets lean both ways, all leading into the subject who has a perfectly fitting odd pose. the shifted bordering works for me too. |
