I love this expression captured in the jaguars face. After reading your story behind the photo it makes sense. :) Amazing animal, and gorgeous to look at. Again, a little noisy, but hey - I'd be happy with it overall. You don't list any details on camera settings (lens, aperture, ISO, shutter speed) - would be interesting to see these when commenting. Just a thought.

I actually disagree with timfythetoo about the flatness of color - I think that's what makes this photo interesting to me, aside from the great expression. It's a different type of color, not so much traditional, which works for me.
Maybe a little sharper and this would be the best one of the pack. :) |

From thumbnail this pic look sgreat - but upon opening it the softness and flatness of color do it no good. SHooting through glass is tough. You did catch a great intense stare and the composition is very good. I wish I could get this close with the jags at our zoo. |

Great intent expression captured here and great composition. As you say in your notes, it's a pity about the softness. Shooting through glass can be quite tricky, especially with all the reflections. |
