Taken at the Milwaukee Zoo at the same time as my Sept. Free Study entry. This was taken through glass with no flash and the focus is not quite as sharp as I would have liked.
This guy was really agitated by the hyenas in the exhibit across the way from him.

I love this expression captured in the jaguars face. After reading your story behind the photo it makes sense. :) Amazing animal, and gorgeous to look at. Again, a little noisy, but hey - I'd be happy with it overall. You don't list any details on camera settings (lens, aperture, ISO, shutter speed) - would be interesting to see these when commenting. Just a thought.

Take care!

I actually disagree with timfythetoo about the flatness of color - I think that's what makes this photo interesting to me, aside from the great expression. It's a different type of color, not so much traditional, which works for me.
Maybe a little sharper and this would be the best one of the pack. :)

From thumbnail this pic look sgreat - but upon opening it the softness and flatness of color do it no good. SHooting through glass is tough. You did catch a great intense stare and the composition is very good. I wish I could get this close with the jags at our zoo.

Great intent expression captured here and great composition. As you say in your notes, it's a pity about the softness. Shooting through glass can be quite tricky, especially with all the reflections.
