Kind of a last minute thing, was hoping to find more props but couldn't track down any cones etc. I did at least take it on a soccer field lol.

As I go through this challenge I have become amazed at how many variations you can get a rubber ducky with :)

Is the soccer ducky a soccer superstar? I like it. What was the final games score?

Man, it must be fun in the brainstorming sessions at the Rubber Ducky manufacturing plant.

I don't know if this would be possible, but it might have been cool if you could put the ducky in front of a real soccer ball so he blends right in. Just a thought!

Lighting is good and the Ducky is the central focal point of the photograph. The biggest area that needs improvment to move this shot out of the average shot and into the above average is composition. Just the Ducky posed in the grass next to some sneakers is not attention grabbing. It will not hold the viewer's attention past first glance. You need to grab and hold your viewer's attention. You need to make it more visually interesting. Including a few more elements associated with the setting you are trying to project/invoke would help strengthen the association of a soccer player on the field. Just one idea that would help add interest and strengthen connection to the setting is to have a soccer ball in the background. The person wearing the sneakers could have there foot on the ball which would introduce the idea of action - this soccer duck is 'running' along side the player either defending his team mate or trying to steal the ball. A person wearing specialized soccer shoes/cleats would also help strengthen the composition's setting of a soccer player on the field. Adding a few more elements that help invoke the setting you are trying to project to the viewer can greatly improve the visual appeal of a composition.

I like the soccer duck.
I don't like the shoes in the background.
They don't really add anything.
Now if they were football (soccer) boots, then that would be a different story...

awwwwww. too cute. nice POV too. I'd say you should have had the shoes about to "kick" the soccer duck but then you may have gotten bad scores based on ducky violence. lol. good luck.

Nice shot.. I think the pic would have benefitted from less closer crop (Maybe with more of the feet) and lighting that hit it from the other side..

it would have been better if the shoes were soccer cleats or flats instead of running shoes
