 Taken in Negril Jamaica at the Rockhouse Hotel.

Old 2 MP point and shoot camera taken in 2004.

Wow, actually getting comments on this image. Had no idea it would be so well liked. The image came out great and I just happened to be in the right place (how can Jamaica be the wrong place, right?) at the right time.

I showed the original to my friend and fellow DPC member - Kudzu the other day and he showed me a thing or two I could do in Paint Shop to help clean it up. Started playing with it in Paint Shop Pro to clean it up and now have a lot of noise in it. Will have to see if I can get rid of that and repost.

Man, wish I was back there now. The peace & tranquility of that place was incredible.

Very well seen and captured! Quite pleasing compositionally. Did you try running this through just a bit of noise reduction? (Neat Image is available in a trial size via the web - I'm not very good at using it, though.) It might smooth out the color noise in the blue water.

Sometimes it's so much more about being in the right place at the right time than having all the best equipment.
