Literalism intended!!! I was just "sitting on the fence" with the two Tuesday Challenges - couldn't decide whether to take Woody or Ducky. So, since I was on the fence, I decided to take a picture of them on the fence! This was taken in Taos, NM. Went down to the Wool Festival both days this weekend.

This probably won't do very well in the scoring but I like it and think it's kind of funny and cute at the same time. Have to get these kind of shots out of my system before the team stuff begins and I need to score well for Team 30D!

This is the first time I've used this giant sized (20 inch) woody in a challenge picture. I purchased him when people were doing a lot of woody shots and never used him. I did take a nude photo of him on a rabbit skin rug but never entered it. After the speed ducky challenge I purchased several duckies (just in case!) - this is one of the baby ones.

Editing: Crop and slightly rotate; adjustment layers for levels & curves; flatten; use quick mask to select out woody and fence - remove noise only from background; resize; select mask again - smart sharpen on woody and fence only, not background; sharpen tool on ducky, parts of fence, woody's head and chest; blur tool on parts of background; save for web.

Very cute. nice dof, but maybe have him even more to the side, enstead of more center. Give me a little something else to work with. Overall it is a very nice image.

Either that's a pretty good sized Woody (I can't believe I just typed that) or it's a very small ducky. Nice light, nice warm tones, good detail.

Nice DOF and the fence adds nice lines (and texture). The plant bugs me a bit though (maybe I'd like that to be in focus).

That's one small duck! The time of day that you chose to take this photo gives it a nice warm light that works well with the wood grain of the fence (and Woody). Even the tones of the blurred background add to the image overall. Only complaint (minor) I have is why the duck?! Flowers, miniature doll...something. I know, it's a Woody photo for crying out loud, but the duck takes something away from the impact - integrity maybe? Well, it's all tongue-in-cheek anyway. Nicely done overall. Best of luck to you in the challenge. :-)
