Hm, unlike most I actually LOVE the snapshot-like feel to this. My main problem would be that it looks pixelated. A higher file size would help, so take advantage of the maximum allowed size of 150K.

Nice idea. The photo is a little dull (photographically speaking). The colors, the lighting etc. I'm sure a different setting on the camera would have made this shot a little better. I can't tell you what since I'm still learning myself I just know this same shot could have been better. Good effort though.

Not a particularly flattering angle for your subject. The lighting is also quite harsh on the face.

You intent was well but your photograph turned out to be a snap shot. Please don't get me wrong I'm just trying to give advice. The composition is not good enough to make the picture eye appealing. The lighting and focus could of been better and the main thing is relating the picture to title. With a little though and time you could of picked a better location that would of showed the relation of morning, subject, and title.

I hope this critique helps, it is not to be derogatory but the direct opposite - to try to help with advice.

I wish you well in this and future challenges.

Cropped a little too severely. Lighting is too flat, with no punch or contrast.

A kid waiting reluctantly for the bus in the morning is excellent creative - and a wonderful idea. However the execution here is lacking.

what story is your photo telling? If it weren't for the title I would have no idea there was a bus even involved here. The photo alone is a overly lit girl walking with a backpack - I might assume school -

The fact that I can't see her face, there's a reflective yellow sign distracting, and the underexposed background make it hard to give this a high score.

To tell the story better you might include a bus stop sign, you could make one if you have to, or wait until the bus is there and shoot, or go to where the bus parks when it's done with the daily rounds and stage a shoot there, have your model face the camera, use other light sources or wait until the lighting is more balanced to shoot.

I understand that LITERALLY she IS waiting for the bus here - but that doesn't necessarily make this a good photo - the more elements you can control the better your photo will tell the story.

I hope that's helpful. If you already know all this sorry to be redundant. I just like to explain and hopefully be helpful when I give low scores. 2

5: Good attempt but there seem to be some "artifacts" in this image - perhaps a resizing issue?

Not a very interesting photo, snapshot like, but...bonus points for totally nailing the challenge.
