|Multi step single exposure. Much trial and error. In the end, I had two basment lights on (100W each) to capture just the streak part. Let the watch dead hang in the middle and fired my flash by hand. Then reached in a swung the watch, firing the flash again when it reached the right, and one more time when it reached the left.
I fired the flash right at it for the first one, then used the white top to a plastic storage bin as a bounch for the next two flashes.
Basic editing is a bummer. "Out Damn Spot" Oh well.
I did some color temp corrections in RAW, then added a curves layer, levels layer, and a color adjustment layer. Neat Image, unsharp mask, resize, save for web.
I was really excited about this photo and am really happy with my highest finish yet. The "Street Road" picture was in my top three, so I was surprised that mine was so close to it.
I deleted my first attempt at this, which I should have posted. It was horrible. The watch was given to me by my wife as an anniversary present. Luckily our marriage has lasted longer than the watch, which doesn't work anymore.
