 "at one sudden point came still"... from an A. R. Ammons Poem titled "Still."

I had a choice between this and a sunrise over the Capitol shot. The sunrise would probably do better scorewise, not get as many DNMC, but I really like this one. I was convinced to chage its color - the original is blue. But I did take it in the morning. And this serenity, this peacefulness, is what mornings mean to me. Its a clean fresh new start, each and every day.

Title lifted from an A.R. Ammons poem. His peotry came immediately to mind when I shot it and so that's why its titled one. And the poem fits my frame of mind.

The zoo is an odd place to shoot a sparrow but they seem to like it there.

In the FWIW column...I think this is a wonderful image and titled quite appropriately (even more so after reading your comments). The image is fun to look at and is emotive in a simple way. Nicely done!

Not quite enough detail showing for my taste. Perhaps you could have taken a shot with the sun a little higher.
