Congrats on the top 20 and a new personal best! I voted this a 7. :) I thought it was a great oxymoron and a cool picture.
The reflection looks fine to me, but if you want to try a perfectly clean reflection in the future, try to get a mirror with the reflecting material on the front. I've heard they're more expensive, though.
I agree with the folks about the textured background, but it's a minor thing. I use different-colored posterboard. You can also just set it up in a dark room far from any walls.
I think you'll get a 6+ shot soon. :) |

Nice and bright. Less straight-on perspective and composition would be more interesting. Also the doubled-reflection from the mirror is annoying, consider using a polished black marble tile (available at Home Depot) for reflections at low angles. |

I like how the reflection makes the dots look to be bumps instead of indentations. Too bad about the distracting double-reflection from the glass/mirror. Some minor tweaks in levels or curves (even a contrast boost) would have blacked out the background (removing the texture). Good luck in the challenge. |

Unique idea. I think a solid black background would have made everything pop a little more. |

Ooo, clever idea. I love how you have to look at it a moment to comprehend it.
This is very artistic. I hope it does well. |
