 The lighting isn't exactly what I was hoping for, I had this idea in color and wanted to get an image of the still life plant thingies with a beam of sunlight coming in through the window so you could see the dust motes swirling about inside too.. but it didn't work out that way. Once I realized that wasn't going to happen I went to my favorite style (B&W) and tried to get the best contrasting light and dark I could to make for an interesting study of light in the B&W genre. Hopefully that comes across and it isn't too staid for the general public. I happen to like it (but then I like all of my stuff for the most part) so if it does reasonably well that'll be nice. If not, no biggie!

I might have cropped a little tighter top and left, and not so tight on the vase, but I like the quality of light very much in this photo. The subject, clearly illuminated, stands out nicely.
